There are many times in our lives that we have said to ourselves. “I always thought that I _______ you fill in the blank. I know that I have certainly said that and when I look back, I can see a fairly consistent pattern of what I did and what I chose not to do and the impact those choices had on my direction as I went on with life.
How To Start:
Valuable information to look at occasionally in determining directions for your lives to see if the opportunities being presented might have made a difference in where we are today had we selected
them instead of the opportunities we did.
Writing them down in the different scenarios also will give you a way to add these kind of beginning, middle and endings to other stories you are writing. They often say truth is stranger than fiction and I
have found it to be true. Not sure where the saying started but have heard it most of my life.
It just makes such good content for your storytelling so try it out as a resource and see what you think.
Take your original story and keep it intact for your first document. Then separate the beginning, the middle and the endings and number them.
Now try changing the combinations of the parts and see what you get. For example try beginning 1 with middle 2 and ending 3. Keep sorting with the combinations and you will find that you have a number of
stories and all of them are believable and ready for you to publish.
Besides having the stories you will have had a lot of fun in the process and significantly increased your writing skill at the same time. A very good use of your time and energy when you are learning to become more fluent with your written work. Have fun. You may have to set a timer so you stay within your time frame and get your other projects completed. I have many times written for several hours before I realize that any time had slipped past. And yes, I have had to scramble to get to appointments on time.
Being creative in this way has such value in letting you be completely adsorbed in the process you are engaged in at the time and is an amazing stress reliever. Unless, of course, you missed those appointments completely. Give it a try and see what happens.
