Life As a News Reporter
My assignments included interviewing both actors Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep on the set of The Deer Hunter, the 1978 Academy Award winning Movie of the Year. I also had the opportunity to interview famed defense attorney F. Lee Bailey during a local murder trial, as well as presidential candidates Jimmy Carter and Senator Henry Scoop Jackson during the 1976 presidential primaries.
